Senators Gillibrand and Graham Step Forward with a
Bipartisan Bill for Navy Vets of Vietnam War

U.S. Senators Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) introduced legislation to ensure that more than 60,000 Navy veterans from the Vietnam War exposed to the powerful toxin Agent Orange will be eligible to receive the disability and health care benefits they have earned for diseases linked to Agent Orange exposure.

[Editor's Note: The VA likes to use the number 250,000, but one needs to realize that only 229,000 naval veterans were in Southeast Asia during the years of the War 1962-1975. If you'd like to see a correct headcount and cost for this Bill, please go to http://bluewaternavy.org/2.2011.costupdate.htm for the details.]
