CLL Now Covered under NHL Provisions of 3.313


Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemania (CLL) and Small-Cell Lymphocytic Lymphoma (SLL) [and several additional subcategories of cancer] are Non-Hodgkins Lymphomas (NHL), and are the same diseases for the purposes of 38 CFR 3.313.

This puts to rest one of the Blue Water Navy's pet projects. So a big Thank You to BWN and about 1,000 others who have been working on this over many years!

The VBA Adjudication Manual M21-1MR now contains this information at: Part IV, Subpart ii, Chapter 2, Section C 10.u and 10.v This stipulates that several subcategories of low, intermediate, or high grade lymphoma are considered as manifestations of NHL.
