No Court Support for Haas

On Friday, January 16, the Supreme Court decided not to hear the Haas Case.

However, there are still glimmers of hope for approximately 300,000 Navy and Coast Guard veterans currently being denied a presumption of exposure to the dioxin in Agent Orange based on exposure via sea water while serving offshore Vietnam.

There is a possibility that legislation, first presented last year by Congressmen Filner and Hall, will be re-introduced and this matter will be remedied by legislation.

There is also a possibility that the denial of presumption will be challenged by another individual who won't get bogged down in the legal linguistics that tolled the downfall of the case for Jonathan Haas.
