Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Still Covered
This statement was provided by the National Veterans Legal Service Program regarding continuation of service-connected health care and compensation for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
NHL is still covered for veterans who served in the waters offshore of Vietnam, but never set foot on land. The presumption for NHL is found in both the Agent Orange Presumptive rules – 38 C.F.R. 3.307 and 3.309, and also another regulation that has nothing to do with Agent Orange - 38 C.F.R. 3.313. If a Vietnam veteran served only in the waters offshore Vietnam, he should emphasize that he is still entitled to service connection for NHL based on 38 C.F.R. 3.313.
