Many Prayers for Carl, you and the family,
Words can sound very hollow in times of grief and sorrow.
My prayer is that through faith you may find comfort in these words:
Mat 5:4
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted."
These words almost come across as an oxymoron or contradiction. Yet the majority of commentators point out that the emphasis here is on the word “shall.”
Here the character of the mourner is exhibited, the honest mourner is “blessed” and the Grace of God sends a miraculous comfort that is unexplainable.
Many may even have seen the unrepentant, through much wailing and a flood of tears leave us unmoved.
But the “blessed” mourner, the truly sorrowful draw out our compassion and the compassion of God to “comfort” them. (a truly broken heart is difficult to fake.)
“he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, . .” Luke 4:18
Peace my friends,
